SCID.

Not long ago, I attended an Internet Marketing course given by Vincent. Before starting the class, he invited us to take a personality test so that he could understand the students' learning styles better hence approached them in various manners according to their personality. Business psychology actually proposes and agrees in this kind of method in approaching people, rather than 'you follow my style and nothing else' attitude.
Apply this in all walks of your life, and I'm sure people will like you even more.

Take the test at http://gregwiens.com/scid. There are 28 questions and will take less than 10 minutes to finish. My results is as below. What's yours?

Detailed Results

Adaptive Behavior: 36, 44, 12, 8

Natural Behavior: 28, 26, 23, 24

Contest.

For all Malaysian bloggers out there who like to put themselves in more challenging situations whilst doing what they love most, the Federal Territories Ministry (yes, the Malaysian one) is organising a contest named "Blog For FT" whereby participants are required to describe and promote the 3 FTs (KL, Labuan & Putrajaya) in various themes.

Suprisingly, the minister, Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, is an ardent blogger and FaceBooker, possessing a BlackBerry so that he can update on the various internet social networking platforms. Reminds me of Barrack Obama's election campaign last year.

So, if you readers are keen in the contest, go to www.blogforft. com. Competition ends on Jan 5 2010. This means ample time and multiple entries to submit.

I myself am quite attracted to the Peugeout or Kia Optima. Wahahaha!!! (Devillish laugh, beating the other contestants.)

Google Adword.

Market research is an essential strategy before establishing a business. What type of biz would you like to venture really depends on the demand and what supply can you offer really. One of the tools you can use to investigate what kind of products or services are people looking for through internet search is by using Google Adwords : Keyword Tool.

By entering a word in the keyword box, a graph of amount of searches performed on Google will be generated in the form of graph bar, indicating the demand from the public. Click on Edit to choose the country you would like to market/sell your product or service. Remember it doesn't need to be USA all the time.

Set mind.

I am attending an Internet Marketing course this weekend. Last month I sat in for the preview of this course which was organised by a Malaysian internet marketer. I hope to learn hands-on knowledge about sales and marketing through internet, using especially Facebook.
For more information about this course, visit Vincent's website.

Meanwhile, I am still drawing on what content to write for my next ebook production. The next strategy for this is to spend an hour a day for a year to write the ebook.

I registered for a YouTube account, at last, which reminds me that I must bring my videocam Sony for repair next week.

Marketing via Facebook.

About a fortnight ago, I attended a 3-hour-seminar on Facebook Internet Marketing at Old Klang Road. The talk was an introductory presentation prior to a two-full day seminar by the same presenter, Vincent Cheng.
Vincent was dead straight-forward and exceptionally down-to-earth. I don't really know how much his income per kapita but he has an exceptionally active profile, impressive IT background and graduated from a foreign university. He was dressed in a collared, short-sleeve shirt, not tucked in and a pair of jeans or slacks, folded at over the ankle a little bit.
The part that I like about his talk was that participants were allowed to use internet whilst listening to his lessons. I regretted not typing this account as he delivered his notes, most of them in verbal context format.
Vincent touched base on advertising, role of social media, the famous code 'Web 2.0', the importance of engagement with readers, the MLM related 'six degrees of separation', the distinctive features of four generations, social technographs/dynamics, longtail x blue ocean strategy and the finale, an actual presentation of how to create a group for internet marketing purpose.
If you are interested in attending Vincent's talk, join the group via facebook at Malaysian Business Network. There is absolutely no charge at all for the 3-hour talk.

I am planning to attend his two-full day seminars next week or next month, which I've paid a sum of deposit.
